+ Meet Dr. Fathima Ali

I aim to meet clients where they are by taking an integrative, individualized approach that draws from a range of evidence-based practices. Depending on what is most helpful, our work may focus on processing emotions, recognizing patterns, exploring relationships, or learning strategies to work through everyday difficulties. Cultural humility is central to my work, as I recognize how identity, family dynamics, and lived experiences influence the way we see ourselves and interact with others.

I enjoy working with teens and adults on a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodivergence, relationships, and life transitions. I am especially drawn to supporting individuals who have struggled with feeling accepted or finding a sense of belonging. My goal is to help clients build on their strengths, gain confidence, and feel more equipped to manage the challenges they face.

+ How might I benefit from therapy?

Therapy can help you or your teen better understand thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and build practical skills for managing stress and difficult emotions. It offers a supportive space to work toward meaningful change: building confidence, strengthening relationships, and developing healthy ways of coping.

+ what can i expect from therapy?

Therapy begins with an initial appointment where we will discuss what brings you or your child to therapy, learn more about relevant background and experiences, and identify goals for treatment. From there, we will work collaboratively to develop an individualized approach based on your or your child’s specific needs. Sessions provide a safe, supportive, and confidential environment to explore challenges, gain new perspectives, and develop practical strategies that can be used in everyday life.

+ Where does therapy take place?

Sessions are held in person at our office (1220 University Drive, Suite 102, Menlo Park) or by secure video telehealth for clients located in California.

+ What is the cost?

$350 per 50-minute session. We are out of network for all insurance but provide monthly superbills so that you can seek reimbursement.
